A client, patient or applicant will not install software or learn a new interface just to send you a form. Whatever you use has to work on their side with no learning curve.

Private, Shared and Client, so “is this ready for them to see?” has a one-click answer instead of a permissions audit.
4. Categories Available now
A label that cuts across spaces and contacts, so both sides can find a document by what it is rather than where it was filed.
5. Sharing by link Available now
A link that expires, either open to anyone holding it or restricted to email addresses you name.

What people ask before signing up
What does docivault actually do?
It gives you one private workspace for exchanging documents with people outside your team. You add each person as a contact, they get spaces scoped to them, and a document moves between you in one place — instead of an email thread, a WhatsApp chat and a shared drive folder all holding a different version.
How do the pieces fit together?
A workspace holds your contacts. Each contact gets three document spaces — Private, Shared and Client — plus categories to label documents by type. You upload into a space, move a document between spaces, preview it, comment on it, and share it as a link that expires. Requests are still in progress, and a complete record of every view and download is not built.
What is the difference between "coming soon" and "on the roadmap"?
"Coming soon" means it is the next thing being built, with no promised date. "On the roadmap" means it is not built and not scheduled — an intention, not a commitment. The two are kept separate rather than folded into one vague "coming soon" label.
Is docivault built for a specific industry?
No. It is built for the exchange itself — anyone who sends and receives documents with someone outside their own team. Professional services, healthcare, education and the rest are example audiences, not the definition of the product.
